The gararage is full again, but the cabinets are organized with all of the parts needed to assemble each one. Looks like we’ll be parking in the weather for a few weeks. At least winter weather should not be a concern!
The cabinets from IJEA
Yesterday, April 6, we picked up 216 items at IKEA in West Chester, Ohio. With the help of our wonderful next-door neighbors, Dean and Mary with their pickup truck, our Trailblazer and trailer, we got it all home in ONLY 6 hours!
We’ve moved the old upper cabinets to the game room, AKA “the cow palace” for some much needed storage. They also serve pretty wall as alternate kitchen cabinets while we’re worrking.
These pictures were taken on 4/2/2013. The cabinets were what was here when we bought this house. The stove is a loaner thanks to our neighbor, Dean Shetter. The dishwasher was put in before Thanksgiving 2012. We are going to put in a cooktop and a wall oven. The wall oven will go where the corner pantry closet is. The counter and and curtains below behind the dining table were not there when we moved in; this was just a temp setup until we put in upper and lower cabinets. It’s amazing to think we have the same-type space (“the cubbie”) that we had in Strongsville!
